How it works
Three steps from first contact to a signed deal
- 01
Join free and say what you trade
Create an account in two minutes with your email. Tell us what you buy or sell. Then post a requirement or an offer, or browse what others have posted.
- 02
Get checked, and check others
Verify your identity and company so people reply to you. Every badge says what we checked and when. Run any document through a fraud check before you rely on it.
- 03
Run the deal in one room
Invite the buyer, seller and brokers into a deal room. Sign the NCNDA on your phone, swap offers, keep every document and every step in one record.

Document check
Check the paper before you send the money
Photograph each page of a paper document, or upload a PDF. We read it and test it against rules built from real fraud cases in the copper trade. You get a risk score and a plain list of what looks wrong, usually in about a minute.
- One certificate of origin for hundreds of tonnes, when DRC paperwork follows each truck
- Weights in "MT" where Congolese customs record kilograms
- Dates in the future, or in the wrong format for the country
- "Bank SKRs" for cathode, and warehouses nobody can confirm
- Upfront insurance bonds and release fees
- Grade A cathode at LME −20% or deeper
First check free, then $29 per document.

Risk score 82 out of 100
- One certificate covers 500 MT. In our experience DRC certificates are raised per truck, roughly 32–36 MT each.
- Weight is written in "MT". Congolese customs paperwork records weight in kilograms.
- The issue date is three months in the future.
- Exporter name matches the company on the sales offer.
Documents you can check
- SPA (sales contract)
- SPA amendment
- NCNDA
- IMFPA
- LOI
- ICPO
- FCO
- SCO
- Certificate of origin
- SKR / warehouse receipt
- and more
A check is a strong second opinion, not a verdict. A clean result doesn't prove a document is genuine, so confirm key papers with the issuer, the warehouse or the inspector before you pay.

Why this matters
This trade runs on paper that nobody can see behind
$36 million
In 2020 the trading house Mercuria found that copper it had paid for was painted paving stones, as reported by Bloomberg.
$577 million
In 2023 Trafigura disclosed a loss on nickel cargoes that turned out not to contain the metal it had paid for.
If the largest traders in the world can be caught by documents for cargo they can't see, smaller buyers and brokers are caught every week. The answer isn't more paper. It is checking the people and the paper you already have.
We never hold your money
Payment goes between buyer and seller, or through their banks. Anyone asking you to pay Copper Supply to release cargo is a scammer.
We never invent numbers
No made-up member counts, views or testimonials. If a number on this site isn't real, it isn't shown.
We never share your documents
Files are private to you until you share them, and open only through links that expire in minutes.

Questions
Before you join
Is Copper Supply free?
Yes. Joining, posting what you want to buy or sell, browsing the marketplace and messaging other members are free. You pay only for trust services: verification membership, document checks after your first free one, and due-diligence reports.
Do you hold money or take part in the trade?
No. Copper Supply never holds trade money and never takes title to copper. Payment goes directly between buyer and seller, or through their banks or an escrow agent they choose. That is also why we don't ask anyone for fees on behalf of a seller. If someone asks you to pay a fee to Copper Supply to release cargo, it is a scam.
What does a verified badge mean?
Exactly what it says and nothing more. Each badge names the level (for example "ID checked" or "Company checked"), lists what we checked, and shows the date. A badge confirms identity and paperwork. It is not a guarantee about cargo quality or that a deal will complete.
How does the document check work?
You upload a PDF or photograph each page of a paper document. We read it with an AI model and run it through rules built from real fraud cases, such as a single DRC certificate of origin covering hundreds of tonnes, weights in MT where customs use kg, or dates that don't make sense. You get a risk score and a plain-English list of findings. Treat it as a strong second opinion, not a final verdict.
Who can see my documents?
Only you, until you share them. Files are stored in private storage and opened through links that expire after a few minutes. Identity documents for verification are seen only by our review team.
I am a mine or smelter. Do I have to pay?
No. Genuine producers are verified free because they are the side of this market everyone is looking for. Apply through the contact page and we will arrange the checks with you.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Copper Supply is built for phones first. You can photograph documents with your camera, sign agreements with your finger and install it on your home screen like an app.
